  1. What documents will I need to travel to Canada? A current or valid passport.
  2. What is the current exchange rate for currency? Since current exchange rates change frequently, it would be best to consult this website as the date for the Festival approaches CoinMill.com ~ The Currency Converter
  3. Is there a shuttle service between the airport and the UQÀM campus? Yes, take the 747 Express Bus to the Berri-UQÀM Central Station which is part of the UQÀM grounds. The cost is $7 per person each way.   5. Is a map of the UQÀM campus available? Yes, on the website www.uqam.ca.
  6. What is the parking situation like at UQÀM? We don’t have parking at the Residences UQÀM, but the University has underground parking located nearby the Residences (approximately one minute walk). You can click here to visit the web site to get the location and rates.
  7. What other fesitival expenses may I anticipate? Shuttle back & forth, evening meals, parking if by car. Optional: excursions, silent auction, souvenirs.
  8. Do you have any scholarships available? Not at this time.
  9. Do you cater to special dietary needs? Special requests will be considered and answered individually. Please indicate special needs (i.e. gluten free diet). Vegetarian will be available.
  10. Are there any special Festival events for children? A children’s program will be available with qualified people (teachers and a yoga kids instructor).
  11. We are planning to spend some additional vacation time in Montreal. What else might we do? There are always many interesting things to do in Montreal, and tourism is at its peak at the time of the Festival. This website www.go-montreal.com may give you ideas.
  12. Is there any place to camp nearby the conference site? Yes, within driving distance but not next to the UQÀM university. Here are links to two camping facilities (each one is approximately 30 km from the university campus) to investigate. La Clé des Champs and KOA.
  13. Will I need to bring sheets, towels or any sort of linens to use in my room? No. All apartments come with furnished rooms, the same as in hotels.
  14. My children are happy sleeping on the floor in my room. Could we bring a sleeping bag or pallet and avoid paying for a separate room? There are 2-bedroom apartments with private facilities to accommodate families. It will be possible to have a young child use a sleeping bag along with the family.
  15. Can I bring my pet? No. Animals are not allowed.
  16. Is it possible to prepare and/or store food in my room? Yes, all apartments come fully equipped with pots, dishes and cutlery. There is also a fridge, stove, table and chairs, and some have a living room.
